about

Eerie piano leads you to floating, airy synths, jangling guitars laid upon a descending bass groove with a melancholy cautionary tale of a life spent playing the odds on both sides. There is an intriguing contrast between the sweet, dreamlike quality of the music and melodies juxtaposed with the harsh and slightly bitter tang of the lyrics.

lyrics

What’s said is done, what’s done is said, my thoughts my mind - misread.
A captured moment from the heart - my mind can’t take a rest.
A need for more, a want for your, endless indirect
Telepathic tendencies. Wanting to reflect.

This will be a certainty for you to place your bets.
A fickle type who finds a high flirting with regret.

Falling into pieces - your mind will never set.
Mind control will take its toll behind the picket fence.
Your dreams will find a way to come alive when you’re awake,
Falling behind those who once said your were their escape.

There will be a certainty for you to place your bets.
A fickle type who finds a high flirting with regret.
Show your cards and mark their words - a night you won’t forget.
Lean on me and then you’ll see what is your effect.

Place your bets on me.

There will be a certainty for you to place your bets.
A fickle type who finds a high flirting with regret.
Show your cards and mark their words - a night you won’t forget.
Lean on me and then you’ll see what is your effect.
